How much are group sessions?

• 30 minutes per lesson, twice a week.
• $15 USD per lesson, $30 USD per week per child.
• Length: 6 Weeks
• Up to 4 learners per group.

Join two 8-year-old siblings, as they escape from a mysterious creature hidden in a closet, to enter a magical world of dreams. There, they face survival challenges that help them learn to speak naturally and creatively in the target language. You can follow their adventures and create your own stories with them. You will practice how to express your needs, ask for help, and find solutions when you are hungry, thirsty, sleepy, or lost. 

The siblings travel using their red toy car as a rocket, to different places around the world and beyond. They bring their pets, a dog and a cat, along with them. They encounter story challenges that test their imagination and courage.

• Lessons are age responsive: Ages 4-6, 7-12, 13-17, Young Adults, Mature Adults.

Using children's stories is just as appealing to adults as it is to children. Children's  stories are rich, imaginative, relaxing to follow, with clear contexts that will help you understand and remember the language better.  

STORY SCENE #1: Enter a child's magical bedroom
• What is under the bed and outside the window?
• Can you find any pets or toys?
• How would you rearrange the furniture in the child's bedroom?

STORY SCENE #2: Enter the kitchen at night
• What do you want to eat when you open the fridge door?
• How would you decorate a cake with the ingredients you have?
• How would you set up the dinner table with the dishes and utensils you have?

STORY SCENE #3: Turn a toy car into a rocket
• Where should we travel -- to the moon or Mars?
• How do you steer the rocket to avoid obstacles?
• How would you transform the toy car into a rocket with the parts and tools you have?

STORY SCENE #4: Run through a maze to escape
• How do you ask for directions and find the nearest exit?
• How do you decide whether to go left or right at each turn?
• How would you arrange the buildings on a street that leads to the maze exit?

You will:
• Perform basic survival tasks such as: hunger, sleep, thirst, and getting lost.
• Speak phrases and sentences to communicate basic needs and preferences in the target language.
• Identify and name different settings with high accuracy.
• Recognize letters and sight words while speaking in the target language.

You will:
• Choose story outcomes or create scenarios for the story.
• Use natural speech and in-context learning.
• Drag-n-drop stories while speaking (use our words of the day).
• Scaffold with our off-screen props and proprietary sign language to help you speak independently.

You will:

• Drag-N-Drop: Move the illustrations, while speaking, and build story scenes. (Boosts your creativity and fluency)
• Off Screen Props: Used by instructor to help with comprehension and vocabulary. (Makes learning more fun and interactive)
• Hand Gestures: Used by instructor to help visualize grammar and sentence structure. (Helps you remember and understand better)
• Circle and Find: Find hidden objects on the screen by circling them. (Enhances your attention and listening skills)
• Trace Letters: Trace the letters of the day or sight words on a paper or a board. (Improves your reading and writing skills)

Homework:
• Project-based with off-screen or on-screen assignments. Practice your speaking skills in realistic and fun scenarios.

Assessments:
• Receive weekly group progress reports via email (for the entire group).
• Receive monthly personalized progress reports via email (for each learner).
• Receive self-assessments every two months, to track your own progress and improvement.

• The Zoom classroom link will be emailed to you before each class. Please check your inbox and spam folder for the email.
• The email will also contain more information and instructions on how to join the class, such as the meeting ID, password, and etiquette.
• If you have any questions or issues with the Zoom classroom link, please contact us at hello@speakstories.com. We will try to assist you as soon as possible.

• You can subscribe to our course for 6 months and pay weekly through PayPal. The payment is automatic and secure.
• You can unsubscribe at any time if you need a break or want to change your learning pace. You won't be charged for the weeks that you are not enrolled.
• You can re-subscribe whenever you want and resume your learning from where you left off. Your progress and achievements will be saved.
• This is an ongoing class that covers one level of speaking skills. You can choose to continue to the next level after completing the current one.

Our flexible subscription plan gives you the freedom and convenience to learn according to your needs and preferences.

How payments are made:

• Use PayPal with any major credit card or debit card, such as: Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
• You can also use PayPal without an account.

“Cancel anytime. No refunds for past payments. Full refund until one week in advance of the upcoming class (not counting the day of the class), or within 24 hours of purchase (until class starts).”

• You can cancel or reschedule your trial session for free up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, you will lose your $1 and will not be able to book another trial session for up to two weeks.

• If there are technical issues that prevent you or your teacher from joining the trial session, you can contact our customer support team, support@speakstories.com, and explain the situation. We will try to resolve the problem as soon as possible and offer you a new trial session or a refund of your $1.
